Learn more about Stephanie Opheim, MAE, our new Curriculum & LMS Administrative Associate at the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy!
What is your job title, and what will you be doing? I am the new Curriculum & LMS Administrative Associate and I will be supporting the academy in a variety of ways between these three departments.
Tell us about your education and/or work experience prior to joining the MNCWTA. I have a B.F.A. in Illustration and a M.A.E. in K-12 Visual Arts Education. I was an elementary art teacher and traveling teaching artist for over a decade. I am currently pursuing a MEd in Learning Technologies at the U of Mn and plan to graduate next year. Previous to this role I worked at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design as an Instructional Consultant.
What do you enjoy most about your work? I love working on projects that make a difference in others lives as well as collaborating with an energized team. I am always learning something new! I love all things Canvas and talking about engaging learning strategies.
What do you like to do outside of work? Outside of work I enjoy hiking, sewing, knitting, and digging into various household projects both big and small.
