What is your job title, and what will you be doing?
My job title is Learning Management Systems Coordinator and I will be working with the MNCWTA team to maintain and build new courses. I will also provide learner support by answering questions and assisting with the registration process.
Tell us about your education and/or work experience prior to joining the MNCWTA.
I have a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida. I served for Ameri Corps for a year at an elementary school in Jacksonville, FL and was an educator for three years. During my time as a teacher I taught 3rd through 5th grade students and I primarily taught English Language Arts at title 1 schools. I went back to school and received a Masters of Education in Educational Technology and Instructional Design.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
I am most passionate about providing equitable education opportunities for all communities. I pursued both of my degrees due to my love of education and working with students. This position allows me to combine my education and my passions.
What do you like to do outside of work and what else should we know about you?
Outside of work my fiancé and I love to explore. I am new to Minnesota and so there are lots of new places to see. We often go on hikes or go camping on the weekends. I am a big coffee drinker so I also spend my free time finding new cafes and trying their specialty coffee items.
