What is your job title, and what will you be doing? Elearner Project Coordinator; I will be joining the LMS team in supporting our Child Welfare learners as they create new portal accounts, register for courses, progress through our Canvas courses, and assist with pulling data and reports as needed.

Tell us about your education and/or work experience prior to joining the MNCWTA. I received my bachelors degree from Concordia University St Paul in elementary education. While working towards my degree in elementary education I worked as a reading tutor for MN Reading Corps in the Osseo School District for 2 years. For the last 6-7 years I have worked as an elementary education teacher in varying roles. I started off my teaching career in a charter school as a long-term substitute in pre-k, kindergarten, 3rd grade, and special education. From there I moved to Anoka Hennepin School district and worked as a special education teacher. Then the last two years I worked at a STEAM school in Osseo Areas Schools as a science and gifted education teacher.

How long have you been working in your field? I have been working in education for over 7 years with about 6 years of direct teaching experience.

What do you enjoy most about your work? I enjoy being able to help and make a difference in the lives of the people I encounter and work alongside.

What are you most passionate about professionally? I'm passionate about all levels of education and helping people. I'm super excited to transition into this new role as an Elearner Project Coordinator. I love learning new skills and consider myself a life-long learner.

What are you most passionate about personally? I personally have a passion for fashion, self-care, and animals.

What are you surprisingly good at? (or what do you wish you were good at)? Growing up on a farm for part of my life you definitely pick up a unique set of skills. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and jump right into any project from fixing a tractor to helping in the fields. I'm also really good at connecting with animals in unique ways.

What do you like to do outside of work? Outside of work I enjoy going for walks, watching football, binge watching Netflix, and traveling whether it's far or near.
