Learn more about Bonnie Vang, the new Learner Experience Specialist for the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy.

Bonnie is excited to join the MNCWTA team!  She loves helping people learn and grow.  She has over 15 years of Customer Service, mostly in the government sector, and worked for the City of Minneapolis for 10 years and DHS P-EBT Call Center for one year. Her main responsibility was phones and assisting parents with filling out the electronic web form. She also coordinated the language workflows documents and assisted in the development of and conducted training for new hires.

  1. What is your job title, and what will you be doing? My job title is Learner Experience Specialist. I'm doing the scheduling for trainers and supporting them with whatever they need. Also meet and greet the learners to ensure they have the best experience possible. 
  2. How long have you been working in your field? 15 years.
  3. What do you enjoy most about your work? I'm a learner. I also enjoy working in teams.
  4. What are you most passionate about professionally? Working with other people from diverse cultures.
  5. What are you most passionate about personally? I love yoga, walking, and cooking.
  6. What are you surprisingly good at? I am surprisingly good at baking. I make a really bomb chocolate chip cookie!
  7. What do you like to do outside of work? I like spending time with my five kiddos and husband. I also like BBQing with our friends.
