Learn more about Maddie Grover, the new Elearner Project Manager for the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy.
Maddie brings a variety of experience, education, and enthusiasm to her role as Elearner Project Manager. Over the last 6+ years, Maddie has been involved in developing and managing continuing education programs for the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) here at the University of Minnesota. She has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of professionals and strategizing ways to improve programs to focus on learner needs. Maddie is also currently finishing her Masters of Education in Human Resource Development with a focus on instructional design.
What will you be doing for the Training Academy?I manage the Learner Management System (LMS) integration for the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy courses.
What do you enjoy most about your work?I love that I get to be creative and strategic when designing courses, always thinking of ways to enhance the learning experience using a learner-centered approach. And it helps to work with such a dedicated team at the Training Academy!
What are you surprisingly good at?I can play a mean violin and actually got my undergraduate degree in violin performance. I currently play with the Saint Anthony Civic Orchestra in NE Minneapolis.
What do you like to do outside of work?I really enjoy being active whether that's biking in the summer or cross-country skiing in the winter. I also started a vegetable garden last year from seed and am excited to give it another go again this year.
