Curriculum and University Operations Administrator
Tell us about your education and/or work experience prior to joining the MNCWTA.
I received my BA in International Studies from the University of Central Arkansas in 2017.
My roles have included being an assistant language teacher abroad, serving in AmeriCorps as a literacy interventionist, and optimizing compliance trainings, managing databases, and collaborating closely with various teams to enhance organizational initiatives for a large tutoring company.
How long have you been working in your field?
I have over a decade of experience in education and administration, specializing in cross-cultural sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and relationship building.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
I have a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. My experiences living in Japan and teaching English have enriched my understanding of language and cultural exchange. I still enjoy tutoring a small group of Japanese students while helping them achieve their language goals and learning from their unique perspectives.
What are you most passionate about personally?
My dedication to fostering connections, seeking opportunities to work with immigrants and refugees, and building a strong community continues to inspire both my professional and personal life.
What are you surprisingly good at? (or what do you wish you were good at)?
I’m embarking on a long journey to become a decent baker! I hope to successfully bake bread one day.
What do you like to do outside of work?
In my free time, I love exploring different cuisines, trying new dishes, and engaging in activities that promote cross-cultural understanding.
