I am from St. Paul and currently live on the West Side. I have previously worked as a trainer, adviser, and teacher. I am inquisitive by nature and really enjoy uncovering the connectedness of seemingly disconnected things. I bring an artistic lens to my work and am particularly driven to transform complex concepts into digestible and relatable chunks.
What are you most passionate about professionally?I am passionate about relationship building and creating learning experiences that position empathy at the heart of the design process.
What is your job title, and what will you be doing?Curriculum Developer. I’ll be providing learning content that is engaging, competency-based, fun, and culturally competent.
What are you surprisingly good at?My sense of smell isn’t canine quality in strength but is nonetheless very keen. I’ve been able to detect sweet and sour chicken from a few hundred feet away! This hasn’t earned me any accolades, but It has gotten me some free food over the years.
What do you like to do outside of work?I love music and am a heavy-metal emissary of sorts. I love strategy games, being around trees, philosophy, social justice, and doting on my dogs.
What else should we know about you?I deeply believe in the work we are doing. I value social work on a very personal level and I’m excited to learn how we complement each other in supporting the Academy and our communities.
