Training in Roseville? Check Laptop WiFi
1 min read
The University of Minnesota Office of Information Technology recently implemented a security protocol called WiFi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) on its WiFi networks. While this new protocol offers enhanced data encryption and device security for connected devices, computers that are over 4 years of age or that do not have up-to-date network drivers installed can have difficulty connecting to networks with this technology enabled.
What does this mean for you?
Prior to your training at the Metro Learning Center building in Roseville, we strongly recommend that you consult with your agency’s IT department to ensure that you have the latest WiFi WPA3-capable drivers installed on your computer. Failure to do so may prevent you from connecting to the University’s network and negatively impact your learning experience during training.
