A Partnership Rooted in Collaboration and Shared Purpose

In this video, you’ll hear from TTCP leadership, community trainers, and Academy co-directors as they share how this partnership began and why it continues to matter. Their reflections highlight how collaboration, mutual learning, and respect for Tribal sovereignty have created a more inclusive and effective approach to training and workforce development.

“Our collaboration ensures that every training opportunity uplifts Indigenous perspectives and promotes better outcomes for our communities.”
Larissa Littlewolf, Associate Director, TTCP

Continuing the Work Together

Officially established in 2020, TTCP operates through the Center for Regional and Tribal Child Welfare Studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Since then, TTCP and the Academy have continued to work closely with state partners, including the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families, to develop and deliver impactful, culturally responsive training opportunities.

Together, our two organizations are shaping the future of child welfare in Minnesota grounded in collaboration, shared expertise, and a deep commitment to community.
