Learn more about Monica Anderson, our new Training Liaison at the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy!
Monica brings over 25 years of county and community social service experience to the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy, with a strong background in child welfare. Her work with Hennepin and Anoka counties included roles in Child Protection Investigations, Child Protection Ongoing Case Management, Kinship Resource Social Work, Foster Care Licensing, and serving as a Child Services Unit Supervisor.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Metropolitan State University and a master’s degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University. Monica further expanded her leadership expertise by earning a certification from the nationally recognized Professional Development Leadership Academy, which supports the growth and development of frontline leaders.
Monica is excited to support the work of successfully brining MAAFPCWDA to life across all 87 counties in Minnesota. Outside of work, she enjoys watching basketball and football, completing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her three beloved family members: her son Nick, her Rottweiler Zara, and her Cocker Spaniel Amiri.
